First, let us preface this listing with a subtle warning. Because thousand of unique Cards can be made by any individual nationwide, it's important to note that these unique "individual" Cards are NOT rare or generally collectable. Please be careful when collecting in the secondary market.

Customized Cards will generally have a 6042 starting number, with a CAR-636 and a copyright of 2007 on the bottom.

Roll-out for this new program was November 8th, 2007.

For the first time, individuals can go online to personally design their own Starbucks Card. Various options are available under 4 themes. They include My Drink as Art, The Original, My Story and All Occasions. From these themes, other options are available for your custom design including colors, graphics and individual wording. The design choices will include background color and specially-created icons and graphics to reflect their own personality and style.

How it works

Customers can purchase, for themselves or as a gift, a Customized Starbucks Card voucher (with a gift box) in any corporate Starbucks store. The voucher is redeemed at starbucks.com/mycard
Anyone can go directly to the website and complete the design and payment online.

The vouchers are $25.00 (either at any Starbucks store or online) where $4.00 is the customization fee plus any applicable local sales tax. This fee includes having the custom Card mailed back to the customer - so your net amount left is around $20.00 (give or take a few cents).
