San Francisco - Lombard is one of the 2017 "City" or "Destination" issues, this one released in July 2017 in the greater San Francisco Bay area.
This design is focused on the "the most crooked street in the world", Lombard Street. Famous for it's steep, one-block section with eight hairpin turns. Lombard Street is located along the eastern segment in the Russian Hill neighborhood and it's western segment is a major thoroughfare designated as part of U.S. Route 101. The street was named after Lombard Street in Philadelphia by San Francisco surveyor Jasper O'Farrell.
