Red Card (RED) (Canada)

Released in North America, January 3rd, 2009 is the (RED) Card. Starbucks is a partner of Product Red, an organization co-founded by rock singer Bono. The idea is simply to raise money to help our African friends dyeing of AIDS. November and December 2008, Starbucks donated 5cents for every Peppermint Mocha Twist, Gingersnap Latte or Espresso Truffle drink. Now that the holidays are over, this Card will replace that promotion and allow customers to order anything on the menu, and as long as they use this Card, 5cents will be donated from each purchase and collected for the (Red) effort. Inspired by the most familiar symbol of the African savanna, the umbrella thorn acacia, a slender, rugged tree with a wonderful canopy. The entire Card is red, including the right pane - which is normally clear. This is also the first time the traditional "Starbucks Card" line across the center is replaced with (STARBUCKS) RED.
