Released in North America the 3rd week of February 2017 is the "Recycled" Starbucks Card. This Special Edition Starbucks Card is made from 100% recycled paper. In the past, Starbucks released similar designs including the "Woody" made of birch wood in 2013. In 2016 the "Burlap" Starbucks Card was released - made of recycled coffee bags. The design is completely black with some embossed lettering on the front. Because it's made of recycled paper, a QR type bar code is printed on the back (instead of the standard swipe bar code seen on most Cards).
