Ray Charles, died June 10th, 2004 at the age of 73. Now, after his death, Ray Charles may be more popular than ever with a movie about his life and a posthumously released album. The Ray Charles Starbucks Card, also known as simply "Ray" was only available through the Hear Music Special Edition Box Set called "Box of Genius". The card has the HEAR MUSIC logo on the bottom right, only the second card issued with their logo. The photograph on the Card is the same picture used on his latest CD "Genius Loves Company." The piano keyboard is reflected in Ray's glasses, a very cool touch! The actual STARBUCKS CARD line on the front of the card is very subtle...you almost have to move the card under light to see it, another nice touch not to over-power the sepia tone of the card.
