Winter Olympics 2010 Sleeve

Released the early part of January 2010 is this exclusive Starbucks Card for Canada in celebration of the Winter Olympics. This Card is called "Winter Olympics 2010" and also called "Olympic Village". The 2010 Olympic Torch Relay started on October 30th, 2009 and will arrive in Vancouver, B.C. on February 12th, 2010 where the Olympic Cauldron will be lit. The official Olympic games will be held from February 12th, through February 28th, 2010 in the Vancouver, British Columbia area. This Card is very reflective of the general area. The foreground looks like the village at Whistler (a major ski area), just North of Vancouver. The snow capped mountains are in the background with snow falling. Centered in the Card is the Canadian flag with CANADA in the top left corner. Not since the "Heritage" Card in 2003 has there been a unique design for Canada. The Sleeve (shown) is one of the best we've seen in a few years. Simple, but effective in showing depth. The front of the Sleeve (pocket) shows snow capped mountains with various colored flags in the foreground. When the Starbucks Card is placed in the pocket, it adds the village, nestled behind the foreground mountains. The Sleeve is rounded to represent the earth, showing the various countries and reflecting the unity of the games.
