2004 Core Sleeve

Making it's North American debut around September 1st, 2004, is the new "Comfy Red Chair" or also known as the new "Core" card. It will replace the tired cup design used since the inception of the Starbucks card in 2001. One of the best decisions made was to replace the plain, ugly silver sleeve, also used since 2001. This new sleeve is still neutral in color, but unique in other ways. First, the front and back of the sleeve has words associated with coffee. Next, the old Core sleeve opened vertically where this new Core sleeve opens horizontally in three (3) sections. When you first open the sleeve, you see two panels (the left panel with the To, From and Amount ... along with plenty of room to write a message. The second panel to the right has a new card pocket with a "wave" design. It's a nice way to show-off the card inside and a classy addition to the sleeve. This panel then opens from left to right to display two more panels. These panels have the Welcome To Your Starbucks Card information. This sleeve, being neutral in color and design will be used for months to come. It will compliment any card style that's issued in the future. NOTE: Card is not included.
