This is Taiwan's 5th Starbucks Card (also known as "Easy Go Card" to the Taiwanese). This one is called "Comfy Red Chair " and was issued January 1st 2005.
This design is very similar to the North American version of the same name and has many of the same features as it's North American counterpart. The big over-stuffed red chair, table and a paper Starbucks Coffee Cup, this time a Hazelnut Latte. What's not included in this version is the newspaper on the table. The first run of 20,000 pieces had a misspelled word. The phrase on the front has the word "affer" instead of "after". This flaw (mistake) was corrected with the 2nd run of these cards on March 1st 2005 of 50,000 pieces.
This card has an interesting thought written on the front. It says, "Who are you today. A perplexing question. I knew when I awoke, then affer* that first cup, I changed. Don't we all. But that's not the issue, give me a moment to think." The "smart chip" is again implanted on this card.
* COLLECTORS NOTE: With the first printing and misspelled word of "affer" instead of "after", this version will demand a higher price.
