Coffee Stories - Origin

Released in North America June 4th, 2018 is something very different for a Starbucks Card. Four coffee stories will be released along with a special designed Starbucks Card. Chapter One is ORIGIN which highlights Sumatra.

The card was designed by Tristan Eaton (name printed in bottom right corner) and reflects a monochrome tiger with green eyes and a very colorful background. This was the only Starbucks card released during this four (4) designees series.

Coffee's origin - the soil, climate and elevation particular to where the beans are cultivated - gives it the distinctive characteristics you taste in a brewed cup. Tristan Eaton, a Los Angeles-based painter and muralist, traveled to Sumatra to explore the origin of one of our favorite coffees. His vivid and layered style beautifully complements the bold, complex character of Sumatran beans and captures the depth and beauty of this coffee origin.
