Originally released 4 years ago on November 16th, this updated version is part of the 99 issue Starbucks Card Holiday line-up, called Kwanzaa 2014.
The design is the same as the 2010 version, but a few minor changes were made for this 2014 version, including an updated sirens eye and the wording 2014 Limited Edition to the left of the logo, replacing STARBUCKS CARD.
Kwanzaa is a week-long celebration held in the United States honoring universal African heritage and culture, marked by participants lighting a kinara (candle holder). It is observed from December 26 to January 1 every year.
Kwanzaa consists of seven days of celebration, featuring activities such as candle-lighting and libations, and culminating in a feast and gift giving. It was created by Ron Karenga and was first celebrated from December 26, 1966 to January 1, 1967. |
