Hawaiian Sunrise

Released in Hawaii only on May 3rd 2011, is the 4th unique Starbucks Card from the state of Hawaii (to date). We've given this Card the name "Hawaiian Sunrise" because the sun is climbing from the East over Diamond Head. Various names will surface including "Coconuts", "Diamond Head" or simply "Hawaii 2011". This issue doesn't have the same charm as previous Hawaiian issues. The detail and colors don't work in our opinion. The multi-colored coconut fronds (leaf) look rather silly. This is supposed to be a representation of Waikiki Beach on the island of Oahu, with the dormant volcano Diamond Head in the background. Under the sticker is a outrigger canoe, and as mentioned the foreground are coconut trees with a pineapple plant in the bottom left corner. Waikiki Beach is Hawaii's most famous beach, perhaps one of the best beaches on earth. Each year millions of visitors come to Waikiki to take vacation. Waikiki has something for everyone: famous beaches, shopping centers, good museums, and many restaurants.
