City of Angeles

City of Angeles is the 3rd Starbucks Card for Los Angeles. City of Angeles is the nickname for Los Angeles, and you might ask why? "the angels" is the literal translation in Spanish of "Los Ángeles".

This Card highlights the Los Angeles City Hall (bottom left). It was built in 1928 and was the tallest structure in the city until 1964, when height restrictions were removed.

In the city is an iconic theater at 615 S. Broadway. It's the Los Angeles Theater, with it's famous marquee. Built in 1931, its now closed except for film shoots, tours and special events including occasional film screenings.

Just shy of 4 million residents, Los Angeles is the second largest city in the United States.
