Issued winter 2001, it's known as the "Snowflake" Card. It was Starbucks first holiday card issued and the first Starbucks Card available to the public. The theme for Christmas was "Share the Spirit", and with the purchase of this card (minimum of $100.00), you received a special tin case, otherwise it came with a red Christmas Sleeve. (see Special Sleeves)
Collectors Note: The U.S. and Canadian versions of this card are now considered Rare. The "Share the Spirit" tin and red Sleeve are Mega Rare.
Germany also issued it's first card with a similar design, different mainly by the color background. The snowflakes are larger on the German version and of course the German writing on the back makes it unique. It was issued with a paper sleeve. (see Special Sleeves)
