"Toucan"

Considered one of the best looking cards, the "Toucan" was issued in 2002. It's also known as the "Commitment to Origins" or the "Maps card." The card shows a map of Java and other coffee growing regions, including the definition of coffee and highlighted with a toucan bird that gives it the completed tropical feel.  The card was available in 2002 at the same time as the "Nations" card, so not many of each were produced and now are highly collectable.

Inside this Sleeve it reads:

"Starbucks Commitment To Origins™ For more than 30 years, Starbucks has been connecting customers with the farmers who produce the world's finest coffees. And through Commitment to Origins™, we can keep doing that for many years to come. How? By paying coffee farmers fairly. By investing in their communities. And by encouraging environmentally sound growing methods.

Commitment to Origins™ is a long-term way of doing business so that everybody benefits. The goal is to help farmers make a better living and stay in the coffee business. We can continue to offer you outstanding coffees. And you can enjoy the results (including that warm feeling of doing good) in every cup. For more information about Starbucks Commitment to Origins™, visit us online at Starbucks.com."

Collectors Note: The Card and Sleeve are consider Mega-Rare. Expect to pay over $100.00 for both pieces. The gifting information on the U.S. Sleeve (To, From, Amount) is present, where the Japanese version doesn't.
