This special edition Starbucks Card adopts the winning design of Mr. Philip Wan Tse Heung, who is the champion of the Hong Kong Starbucks Card Design Contest 2007. This is Hong Kong's first custom Card, made only for this country and released July 20th, 2007.

This special edition Starbucks Card features prominent and ironic Hong Kong landmarks, the design brilliantly incorporates the overall theme of celebrating the Hong Kong SAR's 10th Anniversary. This Starbucks Card is a reminiscence of Hong Kong's homeland both in the present and of the past. Notice that the clock tower represents the "1" and the domed museum represents the "0" for the subtle 10th anniversary.
