This is the third year and third design of the (RED) Starbucks Card. Released in North America early November 2010, called Jonathan Adler, the designer of the Card. The Card details are shown on the sticker.

Canada's version has the bi-lingual sticker on the front (French/English) as well as the reverse. What's interesting about this are the Jonathan Adler inserts that "talk-up" the program. Click the magnifying glass for either country for Card and insert details. On another note, this same design is on a new Jonathan Adler ceramic go cup that was featured on Oprah. It of course has sold briskly and hard to find. (see image below)

Starbucks is a partner of Product Red, an organization co-founded by rock singer Bono. The idea is simply to raise money to help our African friends dyeing of AIDS. Card details are not known, however, some are wondering who Jonathan Adler is, which his name is shown below STARBUCKS on the face.

Jonathan Adler (born in 1966) is a designer renowned for his "happy chic" approach to home furnishings and interior design. Adler launched his eponymous line of furniture and accessories in 1993 and began taking interior design clients in 2002. A potter by trade, Adler sold his first designs to Barneys New York in 1993 and opened his first retail store in Manhattan in 1998. His company has since expanded to include eleven retail stores nationwide, a thriving e-commerce site, and a wholesale business boasting over 1,000 locations worldwide. Adhering to the company motto "If your heirs won't fight over it, we won't make it," Adler has developed a unique style that mixes modernist forms with bold colors and groovy graphics. Offerings include decorative objects, tabletop collections, bath accessories, bedding, candles, furniture, rugs, pillows, and lighting.

More about RED.

"(RED) is coming to a corner near you thanks to Starbucks. I'm very excited to be able to say that," said Bono, co-founder of (RED). "The business of Starbucks with roots in Africa and branches all over the world is an ideal fit for (RED). It's pretty mind-blowing to think that millions of people can buy (RED) going about their daily lives and in doing so raise millions of dollars to fight AIDS in Africa. That's not a bad hit from your caffeine."

"(RED) is making remarkable progress in the worldwide effort to address AIDS in Africa. We have a deep partnership with coffee growing regions in Africa. We are proud to partner with our customers to contribute toward an AIDS-Free Africa", said Howard Schultz, Starbucks chairman, president and ceo.
