This Card appeared on the secondary market in July 2009. Though not the official name, we've dubbed it "Just for Fun" as it shows a simple Starbucks paper cup with three (3) check boxes. Starbucks has named it General Appreciation. Any of the 3 boxes can be checked for the recipient. The top box says: "You deserve a few cups on me", the second box is labeled "Just for Fun" and the third box says "You're the best". Click the magnifying glass for a closer look.
Not since the "Dear Mom" Mothers Day card in 2005 has there been a Card that you can permanently write on.
This is one of three cards in testing through August 31st, 2009 in Indianapolis. Part of the offical memo from Starbucks says:
"Stores in the greater Indianapolis market have been selected to participate in the Starbucks Occasion Card test beginning June 30. Three additional Card facings will be tested: Happy Birthday, Thank You and General Appreciation. The test will run through Aug 31st, 2009."
