"Happy Birthday"

This Card appeared on the secondary market in July 2009. Many have wondered why their Starbucks store doesn't have this issue. The simple answer is in a Starbucks memo below. In part it reads:

"Stores in the greater Indianapolis market have been selected to participate in the Starbucks Occasion Card test beginning June 30. Three additional Card facings will be tested: Happy Birthday, Thank You and General Appreciation.  The test will run through Aug 31, 2009."

We don't know what the "test" is proving to the marketing people of Starbucks, but may see these Cards in North American markets in the future. As time goes by, chances of it arriving at your local Starbucks is dimmed.

The Card shows a standard ceramic cup with an extra foamy drink and five (5) colored candles standing upright in the drink. The candles are all lit and ready for a party!

NOTE: Even though this is the first birthday card in North America, Taiwan had the first in 2006.
