"Pike Place"

The original (very first) Starbucks store is a modest place, full of character and located in Seattle's Pike Place Marketplace. The card (and store) have the original logo design, so collectors desire it for that reason. The original Card had the 6009 series starting numbers.  

UPDATE: August 1st, 2006. The Pike Place Card was released for the first time NATIONWIDE as part of Starbucks 35th anniversary. The Card to that point was only available through the Pike Place store in Seattle, but was released in all North America stores during the Fall anniversary promotion of 2006, with the starting number of 6028.

Special Note: These Cards are now retired in place of the new Pike Place SE released in 2021.

Collectors Note: Sleeves were not produced for the 35th anniversary release in 2006 (6028 series). As far as prices are concerned, they vary depending on the issue. The original 6009 series will bring a little more than the re-issue but not highly collectable.
